Despite the occasional rumor, next week’s CES is highly unlikely to bring us Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 – it’s just too early. But push a few weeks on, further out into the year, and the story starts changing: the GS6 launch event becomes less a question of “if” and more of “when.” MWC? A private Samsung Unpacked shindig? One way or another, it’s happening. But what can we expect from the phone it will deliver? So far, we’ve yet to get any convincing look at GS6 hardware; despite a few “leaks,” nothing’s revealed much of note while holding up to any degree of scrutiny. Now a new find threatens to change all that, with the publication of imagery that may just reveal Samsung’s design for the Galaxy S6.Here we can see just that “Galaxy S6” depicted next to existing Galaxy S models, as well as showing off a few color options – including some that really seem to emphasize a metallic construction. But is this really the GS6? Really, we can’t say. These shots look like they may have surreptitiously been taken from an internal presentation, but then again, that would be pretty easy to fake. As shown here, the phone appears slightly larger than the GS5, a reasonable enough change given the current design climate, but we’re just not sure about the look – something’s less than convincing for this to be the sort of bold, new style we were hoping for. And if there’s anything in particular that really doesn’t seem right, it’s the choice of screenshot that appears on all of these “GS6″ models. All told, this might be the real deal (or at least, be steering us in that direction), but there’s really nothing we can say with any certainty. For more than that, we’ll just have to wait for the next round of leaks.
