Meanwhile, Globe also said that its subscribers can once again access Facebook for free beginning January 13.There is no need for WiFi, a data plan, nor a maintaining balance to access the social networking platform. Also, if the user had been previously subscribed to Globe's Free Facebook offering, there is no need to re-register. Access to GMA News Globe's free Facebook and Viber offerings allow access to a wide variety of content from various content providers, including GMA News. Last November 20, Viber launched its new Public Chats feature, which is tied into GMA News and other content providers in the Philippines. Viber users can follow an unlimited number of Public Chats. While users can’t interact directly and join in on the ongoing conversation, they can “heart” any posts in the Chat. Viber hinted Public Chats owners may soon have the option to allow their fans to comment, but this feature is unavailable at present.
